The Zarzuela Palace has confirmed the loss of hearing in the King's right ear.
The most reported part of King Juan Carlos’ visit to Málaga on the Costa da Sol to open the new Terminal Three of the airport on Monday was the fact that the monarch tripped and almost fell over as he got onto the podium to make his speech.
Now there are pictures of him from the ceremony leaning to listen to the President of Andalucía, José Antonio Griñán, and the confirmation from the Zarzuela palace that the King is now using a hearing aid, and in fact has done so for some time.
Clues were given earlier when Telecinco TV caught the King leaving a hearing aid shop.
